The magic of Paint

Nothing like a little paint and elbow grease to make a house feel like a home. Last weekend my mother and I logged many hours (and many laughs at our gracefulness or lack thereof) painting several rooms at our cabin. I am in love with the living room – the color is exactly what I wanted. We went from this:

Now just need accessories – artwork, pillows, etc….Hoping to add several key pieces over Thanksgiving. Also on the agenda was the entry, hallway, family room, and kitchen. More photos to come later but as a sneak peak we went from this:

Again need accessories but a great start. I am not in love with the green. Was hoping for more khaki less green but it feels warm and looks great. Much much better than the dingy yellow/ivory/whatever color that was there before (you can see a glimpse of the color in the sunroom).
