I travel the world and am truly amazed with the sights, cultures, and people but in my eyes there is no place like home.

Fall

I've been a horrible blogger this month - every ounce of blogging creativity has been poured into this City Council election and that blog - Head4CB. If you're into Council Bluffs or politics check it out. If not bear with me soon I will be posting fun photos of life again. In the meantime some fall pretties for you.

I normally am not a huge fan of fall but this year loving it for some reason. Every week I think I buy another mumm (or four) and add a few more gourds and pumpkins...

Pink Week

This week has been deemed Pink Week. It's a week all about raising funds and awareness to fight Breast Cancer. The week was kicked off with a "Pink Out" party hosted with the Council Bluffs Fire Department, we sold a whole lot of fun CBFD pink shirts.

Then Sunday was the Race for the Cure with Team Fight Like a Girl. It was rainy and cold but loved the outpouring of support at this race. Great times with even better poeple.

Tomorrow you can vote for me in the city council election - bonus in that my colors are pink and white so they match the weeks theme :)

To keep the pink going we have a Pink Up the Pace fun run this Friday at 630. Details in the flyer below, I can't wait to don as much pink as possible, throw on some glow bracelets, and run with friends through downtown Council Bluffs.

You can also purchase some super fun pink Tupperware this week. Tupperware is no longer just for your grandma, it's quite useful and stylish these days! My awesome Tupperware lady is donating 10% of all purchases this week to Wings of Hope. If you want to order off the flyer below, or any items in the catalog click here.

All kinds of Pink fun and all to support a great cause.

Iowa Western Community College Black Tie

I am an Iowa Wesetern (IWCC) Alumni and love going back every year to support the Black Tie which rasies money for scholarships. Perfect excuse to get all fancy and enjoy an evening out at the college while supporting the students. My lovely mother was my date this year. It was a great evening without a doubt.

Everyone kept calling it adult prom or prom without the drama. So true as it was certainly a whole lot of fun and felt like prom all dressed up. Can't wait for next year.
