Today we look back on one of the darkest days in our
Nation’s history and the nearly 3,000 lives lost. However, today is also a reminder that under
terrible circumstances, Americans came together with a new sense of purpose,
pride, and understanding.
On this
Patriot Day, my thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of
the victims of 9/11, and of the Soldiers and Civilians who have given their
lives since to preserve our freedom. May
we never forget their sacrifice.
